Paulo Agi (Paranaíba, 1997) lives and works in São Paulo. He holds a degree in Visual Arts from the Faculdade de Belas Artes de São Paulo and began his artistic trajectory through painting and drawing. His research involves the reconstruction of memories—both concrete and imaginary—stemming from his countryside environment. Using images from nature and everyday life, such as objects, clouds, rural animals, and fauna from the Pantanal, he creates works that transport the viewer to universes shaped by lived experience and the affective memory of his region.
His first solo exhibition, Quimera (2025), was supported by a public grant from Casa Fiat de Cultura (Belo Horizonte). In 2026, he presented Zamboada, his first solo show in São Paulo, at Gruta. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions at institutions and independent spaces such as Lapa Lapa, Gruta, Casa Basa, Respiro Rural, Espaço Totó, Espaço Escada, and Edifício Vera (all in São Paulo), as well as the Museu Histórico da Cidade (Rio de Janeiro), Museu de Arte de Ribeirão Preto (SP), Memorial da América Latina (SP), and the Museum of Contemporary Art of the University of São Paulo (MAC-USP), among others.
