Eleonora Rinaldi’s paintings give form to an organic repertoire of imagined worlds, where light and color intertwine to construct narratives that rework her personal experience while engaging in dialogue with art history and literature.Her practice consistently explores the fragility of the human condition through visual compositions that are both autonomous and open to multiple interpretations, functioning as repositories of intimate memories and recollections.Her painting evokes suspended, almost enchanted atmospheres, often inspired by old films, archival photographs, and imagery drawn from her readings. The works are marked by a quiet density, shaped through a technique based on the layering of color, which gradually builds the image and lends it depth and substance.Central to her practice is the chromatic dimension, which develops alongside the evolution of the painting and remains inherently inventive. The study of composition, in fact, is as essential as it is devoid of color, allowing chromatic choices to define an additional imaginative layer and a sense of distance from reality.Figures reminiscent of classical sculpture and natural settings frequently recur in her work, contributing to images that seem to emerge from another temporality—inhabiting a space and time different from our own, yet remaining deeply intertwined with it.
Eleonora Rinaldi (Udine, 1994) lives and works in Paris. She graduated in Painting from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze in 2020 and completed her Master’s degree at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia in 2023. Her research is primarily developed through painting and drawing, languages through which she constructs worlds suspended between reality and a dreamlike dimension.
